I keep making the horrible mistake of looking at apartments that are just
$100-$200 out of my price range (so like THEORETICALLY I could afford them
if I budgeted everything else SO TIGHTLY that life wouldn’t really be fun).
It’s SUCH a mistake seeing what I could afford if I just SQUEEZED my
budget

Let me say from experience that squeezing a budget is almost zero fun. I love being able to walk to Piedmont Park, but have had to turn down dates because it wasn’t in the budget. It’s also really hurt my travel time.
